PRESCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We are dedicated to providing a stimulating, challenging healthy environment for all children.  By providing a safe, loving and supportive atmosphere children will feel secure and happy.  The program will include many fun learning opportunities for children to grow socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and creatively

We believe that in order for children to develop to their fullest potential in all areas, they require a safe interactive environment that encourages them to freely explore, experiment and discover for themselves.

Each child is a unique individual and we value his/her opinions, thoughts and ideas and encourage freedom of expression.  We feel that by providing opportunities and offering choices, children will make their own decisions and solve problems, whereby meeting their own needs.

In guiding and supporting children we will help to facilitate them with an awareness of their own behavior, helping them to become responsible for themselves and become more independent.

The Early child setting is an extension of the home and we feel it is important to value the contributions and diverse needs of all families.  By building relationships with families on a daily basis, we will better meet the needs of the children.

All of this will be done within a flexible structured program, which will help the children to find their place in this ever-changing world.  We believe that children’s future development is directly influenced by the nature and quality of experiences in their preschool years.

It is our professional responsibility to adhere to the code of ethics set forth by Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia and to maintain open communication with colleagues and other professionals related to the field of early childhood education.
